Surrender To Eden is a progressive melodic power metal band based out of central New Jersey & Northeast PA border; it was founded in 2019 by lead vocalist Jon St. John.
After a brief shutdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the band reemerged in 2023, only this time with lead guitarist Ron Michalski and drummer Russ Lamater. All three had previously worked together on another original project called Samarian. In
the search for two additional members to complete their sound, the band came across a bassist, Michael Bosi, and Keyboardist, Jonny Roberts- two matches made in heaven-their sound was now complete.
The combination of the melodic piano orchestrated pieces, the soaring lead guitar work and nuances that scream storyline, the heart-pumping drum rhythms and intricate polyrhythms, along with the soaring vocals and melodic content, brings a unique brand of rock opera/music theater.
Their sound is reminiscent of bands such as Dream Theater, Queensrÿche, Kamelot, and Symphony X as sources of inspiration, but brings a unique, powerful flavor that is new and fresh, allowing the music compositions to have lives of their own. Surrender to Eden signed with Curtaincall Records in May 2024.
